It seems strange, not so much that there are so many religions, but that by and large the proponents of all are certain that they are members of the only group that is right; everyone that doesn't think like them is wrong. This in spite of the fact that none have what could be considered as reasonable proof for many of their core beliefs. What we all have is faith, mystery and a relationship with a higher power than any here on Earth.

Faith is a wonderful thing. Christian faith gives us Christians comfort, direction and meaning. But so does Muslim faith, Hindu faith and the faith of all religions to those who believe. A major way in which we differ from many religious organizations is how we see questions and whether or not they have answers so here's one to start off with.

What causes us to think we are better, smarter or more beloved of God
than those who have beliefs which are different from ours?

Think carefully because wars are being fought and masses of people are being killed all over the planet as you are reading because of on-going, centuries old attempts to answer this question. Why? What drives so many people to go as far as killing each other, each to prove the belief that they alone are right?

Your average Christian All Christians have a common set of beliefs . . . . . right?

Must I learn Christian? Eucharist? Rood? Paten? Narthax? I don't know the language!
